Wired Internet over Coax cable

 I saw this post a few days ago and it reminded me of a project I did. 

The post describes how to use the coaxial TV cables in most homes to carry Internet traffic.

Basically, you plug an adapter in at both ends of the cable and it can carry Ethernet traffic.

This is also possible with telephone cables. A few years ago, I had an old telephone extension line that I converted to Ethernet. Telephone lines are not great for data, often maxing out at 100 Mbps. I didn't get quite that even, topping out at about 80 Mbps in my tests. However, that is fast enough to browse the web or watch even 4K HD movies. 

If you have an area that has trouble with Wi-Fi but has either a coaxial or telephone line running to it, maybe consider a weekend project!
