SVOX Classic and Alarmdroid speaking alarm on CM9 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

So ever since I installed CM9 on my phone I haven't been able to use SVOX as my speaking alarm in AlarmDroid. I finally found the setting causing the problem.
In system settings go to Language and Input then Text-to-speech Output. Click the settings button for SVOX. Click Settings for SVOX Classic TTS then US English Voices. Click the radio button next to the voice you have installed. That did it for me. Hope it works for you.
